Michael Hintz; Absolute Fitness
Mike's personal experience includes directing strength and conditioning programs for athletes at the collegiate level, patients in the physical rehabilitation field and with the general public in group and individual settings. He has completed a Masters degree in Exercise Science at the University of South Dakota and is currently working towards a Doctor of Naturopathy degree from Trinity College of Natural Health. He has been certified as a Personal Trainer, Group Exercise Instructor and Lifestyle & Weight Management Consultant by the American Council on Exercise (ACE), a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and MedX Rehabilitative Exercise Specialist by the College of Medicine, Health, and Human Performance at the University of Florida. Mike is also a certified SuperSlow Exercise Instructor from the SuperSlow Exercise Guild and a certified U.S. weightlifting coach by the U.S. Weightlifting Association. He has received additional certifications as a Health Minister and a Biblical Health Coach. Mike also earned multiple NCAA All-American honors as a collegiate Track & Field athlete.
Mike founded Absolute Fitness in 1998 and is the fulfillment of his vision to increase awareness and access to this revolutionary personal training approach. Over the years, this vision has expanded to educating people about achieving optimal health - a lifestyle of total well-being: physical, emotional and spiritual. He presently resides in Trivoli with his wife Dawn and family

Hours: Monday-Friday 10am-6pm * Saturday 9am-4pm * Sunday 12-4pm
Location: Running Central is located in Peoria, IL at the corner of Main and Sheridan. Parking is located on Sheridan along the east side of the building or one block west in the public parking lot on Main Street.
Directions from the east or west: From 74, take exit 91 for University Street. Turn south (toward Bradley University) and continue for .5 miles. Turn left on Main Street. Continue for .5 miles. Running Central will be on your right. If you have gone down the big hill into downtown you have gone too far!
Directions from the north or south: Take IL-29/US-24 to downtown Peoria. Turn NW on Main Street (away from the river). Continue for one mile. The store will be located on your left at the intersection of Main and Sheridan.
